Pom-Pom's Patter

Hi Fellow Joeys,
I hope you enjoyed last months lecture by Randi Burton. I found her ideas to be very useful. This month's lecture sound like a lot of fun and educational too. So be sure to tell your friends.

Wednesday March 17, I was present at the Orange County Magic Club to see their guest lecturer Whit “Pop” Haydn, an Honest Cheat and a Fake Scoundrel. He combines his magic with the wit and charm of a professional con artist and the deftness of a pickpocket. It was well worth the visit and I learned some important points to improve my my show. Remember that until June, Funny Business members can save $22.00 and become members of the Orange County Magic Club for a mere $23. Very well worth it.

In April, we look forward to Boo Boo presenting her big bubble show.
We welcome any other ideas for lectures so if you have one please let us know.
It is our goal to provide valuable and engaging lectures to amuse and at the same time increase your expertise.

Klinko's Kolumn

Sometimes it's the simplest things...... Laughter, A Smile.......

I thought I would share a couple of feel good poems with you all.
Look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

Bump a nose!!!!!!!

The Smile
- Anonymous

Smiling is infectious,
You catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin,
when he smiled, I realised
I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile
and then I realised its worth,
A single smile like mine
could travel around the Earth.
If you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected
Let's start an epidemic quick,
and get the World infected.

Baggy Trousers
by Pip [Clown] [written for Clown Bluey]

Baggy trousers
Nose, bright red,
A silly hat
Upon his head.
Squirting flower
Spinning tie,
A teardrop falling
From his eye.
Elastic braces
Going twang,
His car exploding
With a BANG!
A patchwork coat
Those flapping shoes,
A painted smile
To chase the blues.
Making us laugh
And banish that frown,
The simple duties
Of a clown.

COAI by Candy

Time is getting closer for the Clowns Of America International convention in Houston Texas! If anyone is interested in going, please let me know and I will give you the information you need. We had a nice meeting for the 2011 convention last week at the Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland with Pat Roeser, the Director of conventions. Names of possible vendors and instructors were discussed. Some committees were also discussed such as getting sponsorships and places for attendees to visit. If anyone is still interested in being a part of the 2011 committee, please give me your email so that I may put it in the 2011 COAI Convention Yahoo Egroup. See you all soon!
